Spent the whole day Sunday on an advanced riding course around Chingford, Epping, Saffron Waldon etc. Did it on the old Hornet 600 because I wanted to do it on a bike I know, rather than doing it on the new one. It was excellent. Learnt about road position and awareness, and using the gears better, but mainly just hared around lots of twisty, quiet roads. Which makes one hell of a nice change from cutting through City traffic, which is what I do most of the time. I want more. Now it's time to put the Hornet up for sale, and I must say I'm really going to miss it - it's a great bike.
