Track action

Top track day in hot sunshine at Snetterton today with 100% Bikes and a few of the MCN Ninjas. It was my first time in the intermediate rather than the novice group, so I was a bit nervous that I’d be out of my depth, but it turned out to be fine. Certainly wasn’t the slowest out there. The group was quite mixed, with a few slower guys and a few pretty quick guys.

Me and a friend on the back straight at Snetterton (I'm on the black bike)

Boring lap times so I remember them: toggle

Comments:
Sounds like a good day out. Like the toggle feature fella - keeps the page nice and neat but allows you to write lots of detail.

Cheers dude. I decided I'd like to keep the lap times on here... treating it kind of like a personal diary for future reference, but I thought it'd be TMI for most people. It was interesting to time the laps...never done that before. Amazing that a top racer on a factory prepped 1000cc bike is averaging more than 20mph quicker than I am. Still, an average speed of more than 80mph round a circuit didn't feel like hanging about to me...when I had time to look I was at least hitting high 140s mph along the back straight. My mate from work (in the picture) brought another mate who went in the novice group (although he's been riding longer than me, it was his first trackday). His best laps were around the 1.39 mark, so I reckon I was right to move up a group. Apparently the guys in the fast group were getting into the 1.teens. I'm quite keen to do another day at Snetterton this year.

helllo.. Found your page looking for laptimes :). We just did snetterton on fri 4th apr in the inter group, was on a road bike (antique 96 GSXR SRAD! =) wearing racetecs MR SF. Was a good day with no offs for our boys, a little cold an overcast but the without the wet stuff. No idea what my lap times where but you got me looking at the rollcentre website =). Regards D
