The online sack race

Geezer gets fired from Waterstones for his website. I note that a google search for my name now brings up this site for some reason, notwithstanding that I have tried to keep it anonymous. Then again, I’ve previously said that these days, any company could sack any employee citing reasons relating to use of internet or email. What do you reckon? Are our days numbered?

Comments:
most certainly

Incidentally, anyone know why a google search of my name brings up this site, when this site does not actually have my name in it?

Bandy here. The google algorhythm (or whatever) gives a large weighting to what other people have said when they link to your site. So if they say "tucola [but using your real name, natch] has an interesting website here", google picks up on that. Apparently.

Ah ha, that's absolute right mate; cheers, I remember now. Hence things like the let's all link to George Bush's website using the word "ratbag" on the link so that the number 1 result for "ratbag" becomes George Bush's website...
