Alexis Petridis review of Live 8 in the Guardian. Snoop Dogg is criticised because “he never mentions the concert’s aims”. Good for him, I say; we didn’t need a lecture from every damn artist on the bill, we’d got the point.

In light of Mr.Dogg's inability to say anything on stage without a "mutha fuckin'" prefix (pre-watershed, I hasten to add), I think we can count this as a blessing. Mary Fuckin' Whitehouse.
I thought Snoop's set was one of the highlights. He just went on, rocked his set and then pissed off. Sting did the same and was all the better for it also.
