Stakes in kidneys
The free market is all very well and good, but I would say it has gone too far should it encompass the liberty for people to do deals for the sale of non–essential body parts. What next? It’s just wrong.

Why are such sales wrong? Remember, when you ban voluntary trade you're infringing on other people's freedom--and so it would be wise to have good *reason* to do so.
Maybe you'd like to look at two recent books arguing for legalizing kidney sales: James Stacey Taylor's (me!) *Stakes and Kidneys*, which can be found here:

And Mark J. Cherry's *Kidney for Sale By Owner*.

OK, I will.
I confess my comments were a knee jerk reaction and I will try to keep an open mind as I investigate the issues further.
