Engagement
For various reasons — chief of which being work — I tend to steer clear of particularly personal revelations on this blog and don’t use my name when posting. However, I feel that it is appropriate to document on here for posterity(!) and for those who know me, but don’t yet know what follows, that I got engaged on Christmas Eve and that my fiancée and I are very happy about that, and the prospect of our future together. I look forward to what will undoubtedly be exciting developments in my life during 2007. Happy New Year!

Awww g'day mate - despite being in Åre in the frozen (sadly not) North of Sweden by the wonders of wireless technology and a small Apple iBook I take great pleasure in being the first to send out a massive Geldof to both you and your soon-to-be-Missus. Good work fella - nice one.
Thanks dude. Several months of planning awaits I suspect: not exactly my forte as you know... so unless the future missus takes the lead, don't be surprised if it's Gretna Greene.
