Engagement

For various reasons — chief of which being work — I tend to steer clear of particularly personal revelations on this blog and don’t use my name when posting. However, I feel that it is appropriate to document on here for posterity(!) and for those who know me, but don’t yet know what follows, that I got engaged on Christmas Eve and that I and my fiancée are very happy about that, and the prospect of our future together. I look forward to what will undoubtedly be exciting developments in my life during 2007. Happy New Year!

What happens if you’ve a mind to do this?

Monday, January 28, 2002

Despite being originally added by request, the forumblog never really took off. Because no one has posted on it since November 2001, I’ve decided to take it off–line. It seems that it is just too much hassle for people to bother logging into Blogger to add thoughts to my site, particularly since the main page now has the comments function. So if you want your views on the Internet, get your own frikkin’ sites, gents…

Can I just make the point that all insurance companies are bastards?

Dude, it seems you have been properly stitched up by work. Hope there's some light at the end of the tunnel.

As you are claiming the forum has died, here goes. Am sitting around waiting for some bloke to phone me so that we can talk about something which neither of us care (VAT would you believe) and I've just been phoned up by a mate (well, a bloke I play footy with) inviting me to come back to his for a party. Now. How gutting is that given my current situation? (It's not as random as it might seem because he is out with some other friends who knew I was still stuck here and likely to be here for the duration.)

The truly random thing is that he lives in tucola's block (of flats). Never knew that. You might know him to nod to on the stairs.

If you do see him (about my height, black hair, looks a bit like oddjob before he started going down the gym), say hello.

It's started raining now. I mean Reeally raining.

Sums it all up really.
