Ouch... what a hangover I have got after a 6pm-8pm drinks with some people we work with somehow culminated in my getting booted out of a pub near Oxford Circus when it closed...

Cheers dude! This is the one I was thinking of - with the cheery dog with the backpack on, yeah? When you do a link you have to put the word which will serve as the anchor for the link - ie the one when you mouse-over you get the hand - in between the first bit, and before the </a> then you carry on with the rest of your sentence after that.
the link doesn't seem to have worked - can't get your damn form to work. the link is this: http://www.columbus direct.net/index.asp
i got some last year from columbus; it was about £50, but i've no idea if it's any good or not as i got it as a last minute kind of thing.

Hey does anyone know a good on-line travel insurance company? Those of you who ride the tube to work may be able to help. I just tried STA but I couldn't get their damn form to work. Let me know.

Is it me, or is everyone on frikkin' drugs? Oh and thanks for your input Grovesy - you have to click "PUBLISH" or it won't appear on the site, dammit, and I bet you forgot to create a nickname as well...
Yeah you don't need to go in to that GAYE scheme for the live-in lover boys Tux and Chrishan - they're already well up on it.

So, as I was saying last night down the Butcher's Muck and Beaver. These people who come round pubs aggressively collecting your spare change for cancer/kids in need/starving people in Lancashire and so on. Beware. Bloke in a pub told me (Andy Cranch, so it must be true) that what actually happens is that they are not working for the charity itself. What they do is set up a company whose aim is to collect for charity, appoint directors (who draw a salary) and pay all the collectors. Now sure, this has the effect that there are a whole lot more people out there on the streets collecting for charity, but how much of the money you put in that tin makes it to the charity which is inscribed on that official-looking ID card they flash at you to show that it's all above board. To a certain extent it is, because the companies (presumably) don't actually make a profit. However, by cutting out the middle man and paying direct to the charity (normally some old dear in the street who is not getting paid - it will say on her badge), more funds make it to the cause of your choice.
I won't go into the even greater benefits of signing covenants or using the Give As You Earn Scheme, because I'm sure Chrish is just itching to tell us all about it.

Well, after expressly asking me to create this forum, I see can you've surpassed yourselves with particularly vibrant and free-flowing discussion....

In response to Bandy - the idea is that you post anything the hell you want, and I'll carry on keeping you informed about things that give me the Kyber and the latest news on the motorbikes front. I look forward to your comments!

so we now have a forum for discussion. we just don't have any discussion. part of the problem, i feel is that we're not sure what we're supposed to be discussing. from my brief sorties into tux's previous incarnation of the foxinternet site, it appears that you're supposed to talk about things that gypsy's kiss you off and motorbikes (assuming that they're not the same thing). being an equable kind of chap, i'm not that gypsy's kissed off at the moment and i know next to nothing about mbikes. so, it looks like being a discussion about billy bragg (who's cd i've just got from the library and who was writing protest songs about the sun in 1983). nice one. still relevant today and all that.
OK - I assume from your non-response to the question that it looks OK in whatever you're using these days. Sheesh, looks like we found another way to waste time my friends.
Geoff, that you mate? Sort your nicknames out as detailed below and we'll be able to see who the Peter Carter you are. Whaddathink of the new site? Which browser are you using? Look alright? Chrish says it looks fuct in his - Explorer 4 - yawn - I was really hoping with this I could just forget about tables because y'all would have new browsers - silly me.......
To create a nickname: sign into blogger.com, go to "team", click on your name, click on edit profile in the top right, then you can add stuff to your profile, including nickname.
i haven't even got a bit that says "posted by". am i looking in the right place? should i be on your foxinternat site?
Right: Bandy, you need to create a nickname - I just had a look at your profile and you haven't got one hence the blank after "posted by"
